How to manage User and Roles of a SAP HANA Cloud instance from a remote SaaS service

Hello,

As part of an identity management project, we are developing a connector that will allow a third-party SaaS application to manage the identities and access rights of an SAP HANA Cloud instance on BTP.

We currently have a working SAP HANA Cloud on BTP, and can manually manage Users and Roles via the SAP HANA Cockpit.

Could you please explain how to remotely manage users and roles of a SAP Hana Cloud on BTP.

For information we currently have a working connector for SAP on-premise, based on the JCo library which use the RFC protocol.

Hello Alban!

We recommend that you need your own IDM system connected to an HC instance or LDAP-compliant directory, as mentioned in our HANA Cloud Security Guide.

We are also planning to have an IAS integration (where you can also manage users) with Hana Cloud on our roadmap, but we cannot commit to a specific timeline at this point in time.
