IAS - IPS Tenant

Hello All,

We aim to activate the IAS/IPS structure for our SF instances. As an initial step, when we listed our existing IAS/IPS tenants via SAP Cloud Identity Services - Tenants, we found two tenants (test and prod) for each, all located in the same region as SF BizX. However, these listed tenants were created in 2016 and 2018, which raises uncertainty about their relevance to the IAS/IPS integration in BizX.

My question is, how can we ensure that these tenants are the appropriate ones to use for the IAS/IPS activation?ias-tenants.png

Thanks in advance

Hi aslpehlivan,

From Screenshot i understand your URL for IAS and IPS tenants are different.

From 2022 - March i think, SAP has Clubbed IAS and IPS tenant on same infrastructure and they call it cloud identity service.

IAS URL looks like this

https://<IAS tenant>/admin

IPS URL looks like this.

https://<IAS tenant>/ips

And privileges of IPS can also be managed inside IAS tenant administration console.

My understanding from the screenshot - is that you have standalone IPS tenants. You can use the existing once also. (would suggest not to use Standalone IPS tenant - as their access is controlled via SUSER ID - and we don't get these now a days)

Or check if in IAS tenant - if you have IPS privileges shown in Administration console - if yes assign it to yourself and try URL like this https://<IAS tenant>/ips

If you can't see the privileges and not getting IPS access. Raise a ticket to SAP team asking to migrate your existing IAS tenant to new infrastructure of Cloud identity services.

Check below links if it helps:

Identity Provisioning joined the SAP Cloud Identity Services Administration Console !

Thanks and Regards
