Hi Experts,
we're currently taking our first steps with the SAP CP SDK for iOS and have managed to build first iOS apps with offline store that connect to existing OData services from our onPrem world (through SAP CPms).
For an ongoing proof of concept implementation we're now looking into adding iOS app extensions, e.g. a Call Directory App Extension or Intents for SiriKit. These would need to be able to access data from the offline OData store and we were looking for a good starting point on how to do this. Any help, pointer to existing documentation/tutorial/etc. would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Alex
Alex, today we're not supporting the SDK being used in app extensions. There are a couple open questions as in how to handle credentials/unlocking etc. from app extensions and what a suitable subset of functionality could be in app extensions. We're always interested in learning about scenarios that help shaping our understanding of the requirements and see what the gaps are.
I'm not sure what you can achieve with the SDK as it is today - but if you have more detail that you're willing to share openly, that'd be great.
Thanks
Andreas

Hi Andreas,
thanks for taking the time to answer my question. Too bad that is not possible today. The high level use-case that we had in mind is providing a native iOS phonebook on the company directory and using an app extension to make CallKit integration possible to identify an incoming number. So basically the bit that is mentioned under headline Identifying Incoming Callers in the CallKit documentation.
Happy to discuss further.
Regards,
Alex
