Manage Equipment connectivity

Hello All,
This is an issue related to manage equipment connectivity app.

I could connect the tags in asset connectivity app. But I was trying to setup a new equipment which is different than the asset, I cannot find the option for adding service provider and also assign plant option is disabled.

I followed the prerequisites as mention-
1. Equipment template
2. Indicator group
3. Service provider
4. Equipment

Could anyone please let me know what is the issue or am I missing some steps. 

Also, one more question related to Equipment and Asset. What are the main difference between 2 things. Whenever we connect to Tags, it always represents the Assets connected in Design production process and also in automatic triggers. 
Where do we exactly use the equipment and its connectivity.

Hi Sayuj , 

Concept wise Equipment and Asset is Same or say Asset can represent machine, equipment or any shop floor smart devices.

Equipment connectivity is part of Asset Central and Usage of Asset Central framework in SAP Digital Manufacturing has been deprecated.

With 2311 release, customers can request to move SAP Digital Manufacturing tenant from Asset Central Model to Digital Manufacturing Asset Model (DMAM).
