Master data Cost center mapping to Department field

Hi Expert,

Our customer would like to map the Cost center value to the Department field which needs to run automatically from S4 to ARIBA sourcing and the WBS value to the Project Field ( custom ) automatically.

Is there any possibility by using BAdi and CIG mapping. As i dint see any Mapping functionality in the CIG i would like to know some suggestions . thanks

Cost Center by Ariba standard is available in downstream master data (buying) same with WBS which is not available in upstream (sourcing)

Strange requirement, as you would have cost center, wbs and project field in Sourcing?

Hi Yayati,

Thanks for your reply, user wants to fill the cost enter value in the Department field ( standard ) available in sourcing and Project/WBS value in the Project field ( custom field created by customer ).

Can we do some enhancement in the S4 Badi to pull those. as there is no object available in the Master data program for the sourcing.

No, SAP hasn't provided any such provision. You can raise enhancement request with SAP to make department field integrable in sourcing request/Quote request cXML. But meanwhile, you will have to manage it with extrinsic field or any other optional integrable field.

We had a similar requirement in the past but we had to convince customer to fill it manually.
