Non-ABAP System with CTS+ requires SolMan?

Hi,

For non-ABAP System (SAP PO Single Stack) to be able to transport objects using transport request (CTS+), is Solution Manager required? Is it possible to configure CTS+ in SAP PO Single Stack without Solution Manager?

Yes you need solution manager for NON-SAP applications (PO,BOBJ,BODS, HANA etc..)

Actually depending on Netweaver release, but indeed typically you don't need Solution Manager, or CTS plugin (anymore) for CTS+ setup. More details may be found SAP note 1540191, section 'Latest News'.

P.S.: However for many scenarios you will still need a NW AS JAVA instance (as DeployWS host), where oftentimes JAVA instance of Solution Manager is taken (but indeed also any other NW AS JAVA can be used).

I found this page which has links to other pages on the subject.

It states that CTS+ is an extension of CTS ABAP so should be able to run it on any NetWeaver ABAP system.

We run CTS+ on our Solution Manager production system for HANA BI and PI.
