SAP HANA Cloud Script server option in SAP Datasphere, what feature this option enable?

Hello Expert,

I would like to ask if enabling this flag in Datasphere configuration, there are some kind of additional costs to the customer.

What king of options this unlocks?

• More functions available in graphical view or other editors inside SAP Datasphere?
• Functions available only at HANA Cloud database level and need to be used inside database objects?

Hi Alberto,

this new self-service flag enables the access to the SAP HANA Automated Predictive Library (APL) and SAP HANA Predictive Analysis Library (PAL) machine learning libraries, which can be part of the underlying SAP HANA Cloud if activated.

Before, this was a ticket based processed as SAP note 2994416 describes it, which was now converted into a self-service feature. Enabling this checkbox in the tenant configuration does not require additional capacity units.

Hello Peter,

I see that in the database the relevant schema is already present ( _SYS_AFL ).

I think the flag does some kind of database grants.
