Status of Archiving Directory Unknown DB12

Hello Experts,

I am facing the below issue in ECC system. From DB12, the archiving directory status is showing as unknown.

This is a newly migrated system. with NW74 EHP7. Basis level 7.4 SP15. Running on Oracle (DB) and Oracle Linux (OS).

I have checked all the previous threads of SCN but didn't find any clue. Both the SAP notes available are not applicable for the system.

2076092 - DB12 does not show archive directory status

199586 - Missing free space value in DB12.

I have also tried with "restarting saposcol" , but no luck. The saphostagent/saposcol is on latest patch level. Permission on OS level for the oraarch directory is fine.

Please suggest what else can be checked to resolve the issue.

The system is a central system (PAS+DB) in nature.

Best Regards,

Debaditya

Hello Debaditya,

in case no R/3 instance is running on the DB server you have to register the SAPHOSTAGENT at the SAP system
to display archiving directory status in DB12.
Most likely it will not work with the integrated agent in SAPHOSTAGENT and as per my knowledge a fix is on the way
for using DB12 with the integrated agent. Until this fix is released you can install the standalone sapccmsr agent
on the DB server and register it at the SAP system (SAP note 1368389).
