Use SAP Solution Manager as PI/PO platform, Embedded PI/PO

Dear Experts,

Please advice if SAP Solution Manager 7.2 includes PI/PO functionalities (Embedded PI/PO)?

Can we use Solman's JAVA AS for integration processes as in PI/PO, if yes, to what extent?

I know that we can use solman for monitoring of PI/PO systems.

The question is can we use solman as integration platform like PI/PO?

Hi Abay,

yes SAP Solman has a little PI/PO-component (SLD) on its JAVA Instance - but this makes not a complete PI.

It could be possible to install the complete SW-Stack also to this instance [Never seen such a usage(!)], but the rule is always the SOLMAN SLD must not the productive SLD, this means you have to install a second one.

Please take care about the sizing and the JAVA instance have to be patched extra.
