Essentially, SAP Build Apps can connect to any REST or OData service, and can use a BTP destination to do so. So any system that exposes a REST or OData API can be connected to. For example, you cannot call a CDS view in Steampunk directly, but the CDS view can expose an OData service, which can be called from SAP Build Apps.
SAP Sales and Service Cloud integration is slightly different, in that SAP Build Apps is kind of embedded in the solution, but I think in the end it is essentially using the product's APIs to create extensions there.
SAP Build Apps can also connect to on-device storage or to Visual Cloud Functions, whose connections are done in a different way.But these are not SAP backend integrations, per se.
