Whether there is a way to change data model without effecting SAC widget

We have two data model with same structure but different connection.

(for ex. First data model is CAPEX01. Second data model isCAPEX01(in the backend it is pointing to different connection ))

In the SAC report, when we changed data model from First data model to Second data model we observed that SAC reports(Widget) are breaking.

So is there any way to change data model without effecting widget.

Both Model Id are same CAPEX01 ? What kind of model? Planning/Analytic/Live ?

As they are live model pointing to different data sources, there metadata won't be same, hence for the widgets they are different model and may face distortion and breakage.

Hi Nikhil,

I have a similar issue. But in my case the same CDS view sources 2 Live Connection SAC data models. So both models have same structure , only things they are 2 separate models (one is the copy of other but their connections are different.)

Can I make a chart widget in a story on one model and then switch the underlying model to the copy model without breaking the chart?

In my case one model uses a direct connection (via connection object) but the other model uses connection object using via cloud connector (basically 2 different live connection objects.)
