SAC: Possible to create a changing variable in a story calculated dimension formula?

Hi,

I currently have a calculated dimensions formula that searches a dimension member for some given text and returns the index. At the moment this given text is fixed; is there a way to have a variable that changes this text to be found based on user selection? Ideally this would be on select in another table, or some dynamic text that is passed to the formula. I know this is possible in analytic applications but would like to know if this is possible in stories?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Hello tristan123,

Unfortunately this is not supported with story setup. As you mentioned only way to achieve this via Analytics App global variable setup.

I think variables are only available for Story calculations and that too of type Number only. I could not see any variable option in Dimension member formula.
