Will the Add In also be available for Live models in the future?

Hi claudia.ba.buchner,

You can use Analysis for MS Office to connect live models. Analytics Cloud add-in for MS Office do not and may not support live connection anytime soon. Seems like SAP's direction is to inovate more around planning solution to showcase SAC as Enterprise planning ready tool and Analysis for office have all the bells and whitelists required for supporting planning scenarios front end. It is go to tool for EPM, IP-PAK and BPC.

Hello team,

It is clear that SAC add-in for Office 365 works well with Acquired data connection and for planning model.

But, I saw some blog that this add-in will work with live connection with S/4HANA cloud. So, it should work with S/4HANA OP also.

Any road map ?

Hi Claudia - it is not listed in the road map that SAP shared yesterday at SAP TechEd - see below

I got the sense yesterday that they are focusing on planning, which in SAC relies on acquired models.

For BW, HANA, BI, etc., SAP recommends using SAP Analysis for Office - see below (from yesterday at SAP TechEd)
