Hi,
we are using HANA 2 SP55 on our SAP Systems and want the create a storage snapshot from our central storage system netapp. In the past, with an oracle DB, we could set the oracle DB to "Backup Mode", so we had a consistent data set in the database without stopping the system.
Is there a similar function in HANA DB 2 to set the DB in an consistent state while running SAP, to make an storage snapshot ?
Thanks
Best regads

First off: the way that database storage works in Oracle differs greatly from how it works in HANA. Make sure to understand these differences before betting your backup/recovery strategy on that.
The feature name in HANA you are looking for is Data Snapshots.
