Development Objects that are not integrated in eclipse with a native editor are opened with the workbench tool within a SAP GUI. The GUI is opened within an eclipse window. If you don't like that behavior you can switch to the mode that the SAP GUI is opened in a separate window. You can switch the behavior via the eclipse preferences page under the item ABAP Development->SAP GUI Integration

Have fun,

Nice one. Does anybody know how that works behind the scenes? Some obscure OLE thingys (on Windows) or is there some kind of URL Schema / Integration within Windows that would allow one to open a GUI Windows (not WebUI) with a deep link dynamically? I suppose not, though 🙂

Hi @ThFiedler , will this option also be available for Mac any time?

@JaySchwendemann Probably with the scripting ocx: sapfewse.ocx. But this is only a conjecture.

Hi Bartho,

No, this feature is technically not feasible for MAC Users.
