Deleting an ALV layout variant.

Hi experts,

On an ALV report, I record a layout variant. But after I've used it, I can't delete it! There's not a way to delete them?

Hi,

Execute the report in which you are having the layout variant. Go to the "Manage layouts" option in 'Select layout' button in the ALV toolbar. This is generally located after the Export button. That will give you a list of Variants which you can select and delete using the button provided.

I don't know, if this is still an issue.

I found the function module "REUSE_ALV_VARIANT_ALL_MAINTAIN" being very useful.

You just need to enter the name of the program in the import-parameter "IS_VARIANT-REPORT" and the FM displays all existing alv-layouts. On this screen it's possible to edit and delete layouts.
