Hi,

I am going to print special character in smart form print like √, ± etc...

In print preview it showing correctly but when I give print to PDF or any Laser Jet printer, it prints # or any junk character.

I have assign new font family as ZARIEL and Output Device as 'LP08' but still same problem.

I have checked on sap site and tried but could not find the better result.

Please suggest how to resolve the issue.

Regards,

Amol

Hi Amol,

First of all, please make sure the special symbols are supported by the device type. To do this you can use SWINCF or the Unicode Printing Enhancement (UPE) solution as described in below KBA:
##1657241 - Unicode Printing Solutions for SAP systems

If it is still an issue in PDF display, you can try to use UPE for PDF conversion as well. So that some SAP additional repository fonts will be added automatically. See this note:

##1738670 - Adjustments to the PDF converter for UPE

Best Regards,
Peng
