Weird behaviour of GUI-Status

ennowulff

Hello!

We had the strange behaviour with a changed GUI-status after transport in the Q system.

In the GUI-status we added a button to the application toolbar. The buttons are activate and visible. The complete GUI-status is active.

After transport the added buttons were not shown in the application toolbar.

We tried to reset the buffers with /$CUA and /$DYN but nothing changed.

Then I activated the (active!!) status in the Q system and then the new buttons were shown.

This is the second time that we had this "transport error".

Does anyone know how the reason for this?

Or how to avoid this wrong behaviour?

Thanks in adcvance.

Dear Enno,

I just experienced the same problem:

  • Changed GUI-Status transported to Prod
  • Changes were visible in the SE80 Configuration
  • Changes were not visible on Dynpro

Fortunately your hint to activate GUI-Status again in target system worked and saved me a long error search, thank you for that!

However, I have no idea as to why this happend. The only thing special about that transport were the differing original systems of the old and new GUI Status. Maybe this helps.

Thanks again,
Cheers

Christian

Hey christian-b

Thanks for your answer! Exactly the behaviour I experienced.

I hope there will be a solution one day...
