Hi, I am b.tech(ece stream) passed on 2020. Due to financial issues i was unable to get a good career start. Right now I have decided to learn sap abap form a private institute to start my career in sap. I m going to give my best. The only thing that is currently concerns me is i had a 3 years gap..will that be a problem for me to secure a job in this line!?

Please help me out!!

Like any company will think that this guy has a huge gap or anything like that!

Please let me know your honest opinions!

Hi Rahul,

it is never wrong or too late to start a career as ABAP developer 😉

From my perspective a "gap" in your career is not really an issue, if you catch up with the skills and manage to write good code / understand what you are doing. I personally would rate this repository as one of the most valueable free resource, which you should inhale when it comes to qualitative coding: https://github.com/SAP/styleguides/blob/main/clean-abap/CleanABAP.md

... but of course there are a lot more valueable resources as well and it might make sense to focus more on the "modern" aspects of ABAP. If you add me on LinkedIn, I can send you additional information directly via chat and guide a little what would be the most important topics to focus on (unfortunately I was not able to identify you there as it seems like your name is not really unique 😉 ). If you don't have it, Twitter is another option (@freilinger84).
