We all agree that the success of SAP Business One (SAP Partner access only) and SAP Business ByDesign (SAP Partner access only) is owed to the incredible SME partner community surrounding these solutions. Not only have these partners been successful in the past, but also very innovative – with a fantastic pay-off.

Innovation is a process, and we - as trusted advisors for our SME partners – are doing our best to guide them through their innovation journey. Step-by-step, we supported our partners to become cloud-basedto adopt a loosely coupled architecture, and to look at the variety of services and platforms out there helping their solutions to be easy to scale, to enhance and to maintain.

We see a clear evolution in the innovation level our partners bring to the market. These are worthwhile being captured in our SME Innovation Playbook, consisting of more than 200 innovation stories. Thanks to our partners’ tireless dedication, we generated 77 new SME Innovation stories in 2023. Out of this number 56 have been additionally captured in our 4th edition of our book.

The Benefit of SAP Business Technology Platform for SME Partners

Are you wondering how SME partners and customers can benefit from the SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP)?

SAP BTP allows companies to integrate and extend SAP business solutions, making it easy for SME partners to offer their own solutions and applications to their customers in the Cloud model. SAP BTP brings together capabilities across database and data management, application development and integration, analytics, and intelligent technologies to enable customers to turn data into business value, compose end-to-end business processes, and to build and extend SAP applications quickly.

Out of the 77 new SME Innovation projects more than 83 % are leveraging the SAP Business Technology Platform or services, which underlines that SAP BTP is perfectly tailored for the SME market segment.

The SAP BTP Journey for our Partners

Imagine having a platform providing various tools and services. We continuously enable our SME Partners on the SAP Business Technology Platform. The goal is to support them during the entire innovation process (from the first idea, to proof-of-concept, to co-innovation projects, to business process discovery) and make partner and customer lives easier with SAP BTP and intelligent technologies.

This innovation process also consists of running various SME Hack2Build events. Hack2Build from SAP is a rapid prototyping initiative to drive early-stage inspiration, use case exploration and technology adoption for SAP partners. Partners validate their ideas, get coaching and support during the prototype build, and get hands-on experience with SAP technologies. After the Hack2Build, they explore how to package the solution and how to get ready for Go-to-Market.

SME Companies Rock! A Strong Message to the Market

Building intelligent solutions is one thing, but to prove that Intelligent Enterprise solutions can productively run at our SME customers is the other. Together with our partners, we have generated various Intelligent Enterprise customer success stories, all documented in the
SAP Business One Repository and the SAP Business ByDesign Repository.

What’s Next?

On our future path to enable innovation we help our SME partners to prove that SAP BTP is the future proven platform, well integrated into the SAP SME product portfolio and easy to build extensions. With this, we can ensure our customers’ long-term success. Let’s stay agile, create value, and continue to innovate – together.
