Navigating SAP Best Practices Explorer (BPX)

2105 Release


The availability of SAP S/4HANA Cloud 2105 is now live on SAP Best Practices Explorer. The content is provided in 43 countries and 25 languages.  Easy access to language specific and localization specific content is a key customer requirement.  The user interface of SAP Best Practices Explorer (BPX) supports multiple languages – the content is currently provided in Chinese, Japanese, German, Portuguese and Spanish for the relevant country versions.

SAP Best Practices Explorer provides a standardized set of assets which provides information on the business processes. On SAP BPX, you will find links to the individual assets, which are categorized under general documents, delivery and positioning, and implementation.  In addition, you will find links to download the entire package offline.  Visit SAP Best Practices Explorer to navigate the whole portfolio with an easy-to-use A-Z index page.

Getting Started with SAP Best Practices Explorer


You can search for a package using the A-Z index page by either the search field or the navigation bar.  Alternatively, you can also use the direct link to the package (if known), which will direct you to the package’s home page.


 

Once on the home page of the selected package you can see the following:

  • Name of the package (and package version if applicable)

  • If there is multiple versions, you can use the drop down to select between the different versions.

  • If there is multiple languages, you can use the drop down to select between the different languages.

  • You can also see here the direct link to the package.

  • You can download the entire package



In the overview section you can display business benefits, key competitive differentiators and the explanatory diagram of the solution.  In addition, you can display the software requirements of the solution if applicable.


Next, you can choose the solution scope tab to get to the business processes which we call "scope items."  You can filter the scope items by name and description.


You can get more information on the particular business process when selecting a particular scope item. Here you can learn about the business benefits and key process flows of the scope item. In the details section you will find files that will help you with the business process.


The accelerators tab provides useful files and links regarding delivery and positioning, implementation, social media, or general matters.  To gain full access you need to log on to the explorer.  The accelerators displayed depend on the authorization profile of your user. There are different profiles for customers, partners and SAP employees.


If you need extra help, you can choose the question mark icon at the top right and select help document.  If you need to report an issue, you can choose the envelope icon at the top right.
