Hi Team,
I am looking out for basic difference between S4HANA Cloud (aka Essentials edition the SaaS ) and RISE with SAP S/4 HANA Cloud edition (subscription based ) . As per my understanding the basic code line for SAP S/4 HANA would be same and both are SaaS cloud offerings, the extra's that come with RISE with SAP - like BTP(Cloud platform enterprise aggregate credits), BPI (Discovery report), Business Network starter pack(Ariba very basic version ) .
Can anyone clarify if this understanding is right ? and when should a customer choose S4HC over RISE with SAP Cloud edition ?
Thanks & Regards,
Suma
Hello Suma
RISE is a SAP service offering introduced by SAP in the beginning of 2021 . The whole point of RISE is to answer the customer questions on how to get to S/4 Hana cloud from where they are today; as every client is in different stage of digital transformation .Rise provides a common framework and structure that customers can use and work with the partner to get the tailored offering for their move to S/4 Hana cloud .
So RISE is not a product but a service offering a package service provided by SAP to help customer move to S/4 Hana cloud.
You are right service does include BPI for business process discovery and BTP (Business technology plateform) , which is a technical foundation for move to the cloud platform via extension , integration and provide a semantic layer . This is why it also includes the network connection .
Hope that helps !
Thanks
