Hi,
I am a little bit lost when it comes to SAP modules and versions.
Thanks a lot!
Hey there!
Absolutely, I'd be happy to help clear things up for you! Here's some friendly insight in points:
1. **SAP SD and SAP FICO**:
- Yes, you're right! SAP SD (Sales and Distribution) and SAP FICO (Finance and Controlling) are indeed core modules typically delivered with both SAP ERP and SAP S/4HANA.
2. **SAP FSCM**:
- SAP FSCM (Financial Supply Chain Management) is indeed an additional module that requires a separate license. It can be integrated with SAP S/4HANA but isn't delivered as part of the core package.
3. **SAP S/4HANA Modules**:
- SAP S/4HANA Sales, Finance, Collection Management, and Dispute Management are indeed available. They are part of the SAP S/4HANA suite and are designed to work seamlessly with the core system.
- These modules often have Fiori apps associated with them, providing a modern and intuitive user experience. They're usually included with the SAP S/4HANA package.
4. **SAP FSCM on SAP S/4HANA**:
- While SAP S/4HANA provides robust modules like Sales and Finance, SAP FSCM offers specialized functionalities focusing on optimizing financial processes and risk management. It's about complementing the core functionalities with additional features tailored to specific needs.
5. **Fiori in SAP S/4HANA**:
- Yes, Fiori is indeed delivered as a default for SAP S/4HANA. It provides a user-friendly and responsive interface, making tasks more intuitive and efficient.
6. **Learning SAP FSCM**:

Thank you for your help 🙂
I just wonder, why still to use FSCM for example for Collections Management or Dispute Management, if SAP S/4HANA offers more user-friendly component SAP S/4HANA Collections Management and SAP S/4HANA Dispute Management. As far as I understand the concept is the same.
I also observe that most of the customers still use SAP GUI instead of SAP Fiori Launchpad. Are the solution designed for Fiori more expensive?
Is there a place when I can see which components are delivered as core with different SAP modules, or is it customized as per the customer requirements?
Kind regards,
Inka
Hey @Inka
You're welcome! 😊 Great questions! So, regarding FSCM vs. SAP S/4HANA Collections Management and Dispute Management, you're right that the concept is similar, but there could be various reasons why some still prefer FSCM. It could be familiarity, existing setups, or specific functionalities.
As for SAP GUI vs. Fiori Launchpad, it's interesting to note that many customers still use SAP GUI. It's not necessarily about cost; sometimes, it's about the ease of transition or the specific needs of the business.
Hope this helps! Let me know if you have any more questions! 😊
Warm regards,
H
