After a successful German event in March 2024 the SAP Financials Forum reopened its doors again from April 22-24 running for the 2nd time in a virtual and half-day format broadcasting live from Walldorf, Germany. More than 100 participants from 18 countries around the globe dialed in to learn more about the latest innovations in SAP Financials.
The program featured three half days offered in two alternative time slots providing more than 18 different expert talks, two customer presentations, a hands-on session and opportunities to network with participants and SAP experts. Read more in this report.
A warm welcome from the SAP Headquarters
The event was kicked off by the organizers Cem Uysal and Magnus Metzler broadcasting from SAPs headquarters in Walldorf, Germany. After a quick overview of the program, all participants jumped over to the first expert talks.
A colourful bouquet of more than 18 expert talks
The core of the forum consists of several parallel lecture blocks, allowing participants to build their own agenda. SAP experts presented various hot topics from the SAP Financials area in 90-minute expert talks that combined theoretical overviews, system demos, and Q&A sessions. As the following overview shows, the event offered a particularly colorful mix of topics on the program.
Customers' view on SAP S/4HANA migration projects
What do customers experience when migrating to SAP S/4HANA in Finance? What challenges do they have to overcome and what tips can they give other customers? SAP customers from Mercedes Benz Group and Deutsche Börse provided insights into SAP S/4HANA migration projects and answered numerous questions that came from the audience. Two very exciting insights from a customer’s perspective, which supplemented the presentations from SAP colleagues with an internal perspective.
“Meet the Expert” session
Particular attention was paid again to allowing enough room for open exchange and networking between participants and SAP experts by offering “Meet the Expert” Sessions on Tuesday. Participants could join 3 different breakout sessions to discuss open questions regarding Finance and Management Accounting as well as Cash Management topics in more detail with the experts. A great opportunity for all participants and speakers to exchange!
