Create Permission role to have only view access to Employee Central configuration

1. To Make Manage Business configuration as View Only 

In Permission Role, Section: Manage Business Configuration-->All different sections in Manage Business Configuration will be visible as objects and Grant only view access to all sections

Outcome:

No Option to Edit configuration in BCUI

2. To Make Configure Object definition as view only

First Secure the object "Object Definition(GOObjectDefinition)" in configure Object Definitions

Now there will be new permission "Object Definition" under Miscellaneous Permission in Permission Role, Grant only view access. Also Grant "Configure Object Definition" access under Metadata Framework

Outcome:

No Option to Edit object configuration in Configure Object Definition

3. To Make Picklist as view only

Secure the object "Picklist" (Follow same steps as Step 2)

Now there will be new permission "Picklist" under Miscellaneous Permission in Permission Role, Grant only view access. Also  "Configure Object Definition" access under Metadata Framework required to access Picklist Center

Outcome:

Error while trying to edit or create picklist

4.To Make Business rule as view only

Secure the object "Rule" (Follow same steps as Step 2)

Now there will be new permission "Rule" under Miscellaneous Permission in Permission Role, Grant only view access. Also  "Configure Business Rule" access under Metadata Framework required.

Outcome:

System is not saving the Business rule when you click on "Save".
