SuccessFactors Succession Planning module- understanding how some of the scenarios work

Hello,

We have a few inquiries regarding the succession planning functionality. We've encountered specific scenarios and would appreciate understanding how the system is expected to respond. Your assistance in clarifying this will aid us in determining whether it pertains to the system's design or if there are any discrepancies in the data.

Thank you for your support. Listed below are the scenarios:

1. Expat Assignment: As soon as an employees go on an assignment, they disappear from the succession plan (both incumbents & successors)

  a) what happens to the access (do new sector talent partners have view to the emaployee where he moved or the old sector partner will also have access?

 b) Does this apply to Succession org chart view i.e access to view employee

2. Succession plans seem to be connected to incumbents (instead of positions) when they change positions

3. Successors remain in succession org chart, even if they move into inactive status.

4. When do employees "disappear" from succession org unit view?

5. in cases where one of the nominated successors becomes the incumbent of the position, there is no automatism that the employee gets deleted from successor list

6. incumbent of a position with succession planning left the company and with this the succession plan "got lost"

7. positions that are not used anymore (difference between inactive, deleted?) do not automatically get deleted from nominee view (employee profile still shows nomination for that position)
