Tracking Hire Types on Multi-Hire Requisitions

I am looking for best practice solution for reporting when hiring different types of new hires (addition to staff, replacements, etc) on one requisition. We have a process for using different position numbers but are looking for how to report out on the different types of hires. For example if I hire 3 addition to staff and 2 replacements on one requisition, what is the best way to report out on that?
