Another exciting day for SAP API Management and Gateway team at TechEd && D-Code Las Vegas! A huge number of participants eagerly waited to enter the show floor before it opens this morning. We kicked off the day with two interesting hands-on sessions, followed by Expert Networking sessions, lectures, demos and Q&A sessions. We were much excited to see the overwhelming participants everywhere.
INT260 Develop an E2E integration scenario with SAP Gateway, SAP HANA and SAPUI5
It was impressive to see an amazing turn out at 8 AM. In this hands-on session, SAP's Joerg Singler, Tatjana Pfeifer and Oliver Liemert guided attendees to
- Develop an SAP Fiori-style app in an end-to-end scenario
- Walk through the development and extension of an SAP Gateway OData service consisting of SAP HANA-based views and other datasources
- Generate and extend an SAP Fiori-style app with SAPUI5 and the new SAP River Rapid Development Environment

INT262 OData in SAP HANA Cloud Integration
Yet another interesting hands-on session delivered by SAP's Joav Bally and Mustafa Saglam. This session features the end-to-end process of provisioning OData services in SAP HANA Cloud Integration by mashing up several APIs from various SAP and non-SAP datasources. EXP17817 SAP API Management: Leveraging your digital assets to unleash API economy
One of our well visited speaker networking sessions presented by Himanshu Pande. He explained about our new solution SAP API Management that can help you manage and publish Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) in a secure and scalable manner. This session focused on how SAP API Management allows you to leverage your digital assets in such a way that they can lead you to a whole new world – the API-based economy and its impacts on businesses.
EXP17596 Integration Gateway in SAP Mobile Platform 3.0
The integration gateway is the component in SAP Mobile Platform that supports connectivity to various back ends (data sources). Mustafa gave a brief overview of the integration gateway, followed by an open question-and-answer (Q&A) session. INT204 Cutting-Edge SAP API Management and REST
Joav explained conceptually how SAP API Management enables simplified provisioning of secure and scalable application programming interfaces (APIs) by utilizing Representational State Transfer (REST). He networked with a huge number of participants to describe how SAP API Management provides independent third-party developers an easier way of integrating with SAP applications and how it streamlines the API development experience with built-in integration with SAP Gateway technology, the SAP HANA platform, and more. He will deliver the lecture again tomorrow, the 23rd October from 10:30 AM - 11:30 AM in Bellini 2003.

One of our experts in the demo booth created a visual reality table using our visual showroom app for people to put drink on :smile: Through a tablet device user can see the augmented reality of an interior design item from a catalog and order product real-time, powered by SAP API Management jointly developed with SAP partner Quantilus.

In addition to the above sessions, Our Chief Product Manager Joav Bally presented INT802 Road Map Q&A session on SAP Gateway and how to access data in your SAP systems using open data protocol (OData). He showed where we are and where we are heading for provisioning and consumption of OData services and management of APIs in SAP's technologies, on premise, in the cloud, and on the SAP HANA platform. He also answered the questions from various enthusiastic participants.
SAP's Jens Hüsken and Tatjana Pfeifer discussed modeling and implementation of OData services based on SAP Gateway with some examples in CR704 code review session. If you are interested, make sure to attend the next session on Thursday 11:30 AM - 12:30 PM Showfloor.
