In this interview broadcast live from the show floor at SAP TechEd Bangalore, simha.magal, Professor of Management at Grand Valley State University (USA) and SAP Mentor, hosts Devendra Malladi, COO of SAP Education APJ, for an in-depth discussion of the flexible learning options available from SAP Education. The topic presented Dev with a great platform to discuss the various ways in which learning can be consumed outside the traditional classroom environment, including: eAcademies, virtual live classrooms, and via SAP Education’s newest offering, SAP Learning Hub. Speaking about e-learning, Dev pointed out that this option is aimed not at beginners, but at those who wish to enhance or refresh their existing knowledge in a self-paced manner (aka context-based learning).

As a professor specializing in the area of business processes and enterprise systems using SAP, Dr. Magal drew upon his own teaching experiences and insights, asking thought-provoking questions on the demographic shifts underway among students and about SAP Education’s plans to make their learning content available via SAP’s University Alliances Program. The two gentlemen also discussed the U-Academy program developed in APJ, which aims to make students job-ready to become SAP consultants and thereby improve their career options post-university. Another interesting highlight was how APJ Education is innovating around offline learning in order to address connectivity challenges in the region.
