In this blog, you can see the configuration steps required to use Ariba Guided Buying Catalog from SAP S/4HANA Workorder screen.

1. Settings for Web Services app

Use the name SAGB_CATALOG as this name is reserved for communicating with Ariba guided buying catalog.

Parameters SECURE_AUTH_URL, PunchinId, URL and password are customer specific information and are for reference only in the image above.

2. Communication System

  1. Enter the details as highlighted below, for creating a communication system from scenario. Enter System ID, System Name, Host Name (without https) and Port.

2. Enter Auth. Endpoint and Token Endpoint.

3. Communication Arrangement

  1. Create a communication arrangement and use SAGB_CATALOG as the name of the communication system/communication arrangement and Settings for Web Service.
  2. Enter the name for communication arrangement and select the communication system created earlier.
  3. Enter the API_KEY and the secure password for the same if required in the additional parameter section. Screenshot 2024-03-15 132549.png
  4. Then go to outbound section in this and enter the below details for Oauth related after selecting the connection authentication method.

The Auth2.0 comm details will be taken from the communication system.

For outbound http connection enter the relative path of the API. The host is picked from the communication system. Based on the host and the path, a complete URL is displayed in the Service URL field.

4. Whitelisting the IPs

1. Add Ariba as a trusted source

App: Maintain Trust Certificate, User: Administrator

If required, this can also be verified from backend, using transaction STRUST. Alternatively, you can also maintain the certificate from this backend transaction, if you have the required access.

The above trust certificate was added for Customer Anonymous, Customer Default etc.

2. Whitelisting of Ariba IP from SAP S/4HANA

  • Execute the transaction UCONCOCKPIT.
  • Select scenario as shown below:

  • Double click on Trusted Network Zone.
  • Add Ariba IPs in the Allow list. Screenshot 2024-03-15 135638.png

3. Ariba should also whitelist the SAP S/4HANA IP from the Ariba side.

This is done at the Ariba side where the IP S/4 has to be maintained.
