In essence there are 3 Integration options in SAP Fieldglass: Single Sign On (SSO), Batch and Transaction based integrations. Below a short explanation and links to the detailed setups.

Single Sign On: SSO

Single sign-on allows users to access SAP Fieldglass using their corporate credentials.Core features include:

  • SAML 1.1 and 2.0 syntax

  • IdP and SP initiated session models

  • Deep linking available with SP model

You can enable the the single sign on functionality yourself by using the configuration manager or ask for assistance form the SAP Fieldglass team. With the configuration manager, which is pretty much a guided self-service, it will take you about 15 minutes to set it up. Batch Files

If you want to update multiple transactions / records you can use full or delta data sets depending on upload or download. You are able to use the stored logic to create output data sets and deliver them based upon agreed schedule. A list of all available standard integration points and their use you can find here: https://help.sap.com/viewer/9cfd5c12ee3046d59453e73974f9c4b7/cloud/en-US It provides detailed reference information for each Connector supported by SAP Fieldglass.

Single Transaction / Record

Other integrations include typically event-driven or real-time actions, where approval groups are utilized to push records. Alternatively, there can be files sent based on user action such as Timesheet approval. For a more advanced setup, you often require custom development. The easiest way to set the integrations up is the configuration manager, which allows you to define endpoints, webserv and column transformation. This link contains instructional information about actions that users with the configuration manager role can perform to manage integrations. https://help.sap.com/viewer/73c0a1be6aaa46ef9b66b1c3f28a77f4/cloud/en-US
