Cartonization Planning( CAP ) during Packing

The system uses the PSHUs as templates for proposing packaging materials or destination HUs for shipping HUs while packing at the work center or using radio frequency (RF).

Here in this process,It is only consider the area related to Cartonization Planning.These data is only used for test scenario and no business meaning here with these data.

Process:

PSHU Generate for Outbound delivery Order using below.

execute the transaction on the SAP Easy Access screen under  Extended Warehouse Management> Work Scheduling> Cartonization Planning>Cartonization Planning for Outbound Delivery Order  or schedule the report  /SCWM/R_CAP_BACKGROUND.

/SCWM/CAPDLV - Cartonization Planning for Outbound Delivery Orders

Packing at the Work Center:

SAP Easy Access->Extended Warehouse Management → Execution   → Packing – General

Tcode-/SCWM/PACK - Packing – General

Here in example, It picked the target quantities in 2 Pick Hus and moved to Packing Centre so that System propose first Packaging Material based on   create shipping HU when scan the first Pick HU and then propose destination HU ( which was created while scan first Pick HU ) when scan the second pick HU.

Automatic Pack Material populated from PSHU.

Packing with RF:

Customization:

1>Number Range and Algorithm Profiles for Cartonization Planning are same as previous doc.

2>Extended Warehouse Management under Goods Issue Process Cartonization Planning .

  Define Process Profiles for Cartonization Planning

Master Data:

/SCWM/TWORKST - Define Master Data Attributes

BADI:

Important Note:

  1. The system groups outbound delivery order items that are to be packed together.

During cartonization planning, the system processes each group independently of other groups. Delivery items from different groups are not planned to be packed together in the same HU. The grouping depends on the following criteria:

• Algorithm profile for cartonization planning
• Consolidation group
• Activity area
• Wave (in case of cartonization planning for waves only)

    2. The system can modify the grouping of outbound delivery order items.

This is an optional step. For more information, see Customizing for Extended Warehouse Managementunder Business Add-Ins (BAdIs) for Extended Warehouse Management Goods Issue Process Cartonization Planning BAdI: Pre- and Postprocessing of CAP Algorithms .

3. The system executes the cartonization planning algorithms to create PSHUs.

    4. The system can modify the result of cartonization planning algorithms.

Version: EWM 9.0

Business Function:

SCM_EWM_FND must be activated.

BC Sets need to activate:

   1. /SCWM/CAP_WORK_CENTER_LAYOUT (Cartonization Planning: Work Center Screen Configuration)

   2. /SCWM/CAP (Cartonization Planning)

3./SCWM/PRC_TCP1

Nice document! One question though: is there a way to use this functionality using the "Pack Outbound Deliveries" Fiori app?
