We are happy to announce the release of SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) in SAP S/4HANA 2023 FPS01, Private Cloud. This release marks our continued commitment to empowering businesses of all sizes to optimize their supply chain execution and run their warehouse operations with efficiency and agility.
In line with our six-monthly release cadence of feature packs between the major releases, this release focuses on enhancing integrated processes, continuous improvements, and user experience. The targeted business benefits include improved inventory consistency, enhanced process transparency, reduced clerical efforts and errors, and eliminating the need for custom development efforts.
Key features in this release include:
- Improved inbound integration with Logistics Execution (LE) and Transportation Management (TM) after partial goods receipt.
- Ability to assign more than one bin to a Production Supply Area (PSA).
- Support for batch-specific unit of measure for various processes like goods receipt and issue, quality inspection, packing, warehouse task creation and confirmation, posting changes, physical inventory.
- Assigning printers to resources like a printer mounted on a forklift or in a RF menu for warehouse tasks in specific areas of the warehouse.
- Ability to verify batches on a RF device during physical inventory counting.
