SAP LMD - Last Mile Distribution
Following up to my last blog SAP LMD - Last Mile Distribution - SAP Community, will get in details in this blog I will focus on Route Execution and Release for Settlement. Execution of Delivery Routes | SAP Help Portal
The Route ID in standard is the same number as the FO number from TM.

Sequence of the Route can be defined accordingly your requirements:
When we get inside in The Route, we can see the sequence of the process:
In each of those Tab we can see the details of the Goods + Quantities the driver is moving for each customer and of the total are loading in the vehicle.
In the Check Out before the Driver leave the Warehouse the quantities can be adjusts in case is needed and following the Reason Code and Inventory Group.
In this example the Check out has no difference (will make another blog only focus on differences for Check In/Out.
In customer documents we can see the list of the customer will have in this Route.
Here we can see the details of the goods are delivery to this customer, Driver can Add Cash/Check payment, Unplanned Return Package and the date of the customer receive the deliveries.
Driver can also adjust quantities if required.
The next is the Check In back in the Warehouse, where we can see the goods are full delivery with no quantities difference from the goods delivery to customer.
In the Payments tab the Cashier will inform the amount receive from the Driver.
In the Differences we can see “No differences found”, from Product and Payments.
In the Log, part if error happen during the Route execution or settlement will show up.
On comments, you can add any note for further related.
Now the Route is executed and can be Release for Settlement or Settle Now.
Now the Route is release for settlement and Status on Head level is changed to Released.
If we click on Settle Now and the process will run in Background to Settle, the route.
