SAP TM Integration with Last Mile Distribution

In this blog I will focus on the setup the integration with the solution LMD-Last Mile Distribution on TM side, this solution gives a lot of capabilities to control the last mile of the transport/warehouse/financials sides

SAP TM can also integrate with SAP S/4HANA solution (LMD-Last Mile Distribution) for Direct Distribution, focuses on the planning and execution of delivery routes through to final settlement the routes are assembled automatically based on information provided by Transportation Management.

 

The integration between TM and LMD start with the planning and Load to be distributed to LMD after these steps is done you are enabled to send the FO to LMD to be integrated.

Some customizing is need on TM side to enable this integration, in the FO Doc type which is relevant for LMD use the output profile LMD_OUTPUT.

The FO stages need to be built as the Last Location need to be the shipping Point as the truck driver back to warehouse.

 

In the path of LMD you customize the Relevant FO Doc. Type and Status which is set in the FO to be distributed to LMD.

 In the FO after set the Status according to customizing definition an XML will be send from TM to LMD for Route Assembly. Some forms are available to warehouse for the counting, etc.
