Hello Friends,

In this document I am covering all about Managed system configuration of SAP HANA 2.0

 

Since this is new version some additional steps required in order to configure system.

 

Step 1 : Update SLD CR Content in your Solution Manager Master SLD

For Any error like below please look SAP notes under SAP notes section



SAP Notes:

2297508 - The content of uploaded file is corrupted

2425670 - CIM_ERR_FAILED: CIM Error during import preparation - SLD CR Import issue

Step 2: Register HANA system to SLD

Open URL https://<HANAServerHostname>:1129/lmsl/HDBLCM/<SID>/index.html

Login with <sid>adm user and open “Configure System Landscape Directory Registration”



Provide required details and press Next



Click on Run



Restart Hana system to push your system data in to SLD (HDB stop & HDB start)

Step 3 : Update Stores as per SAP note : 2403493 - Solution Manager: Enabling the Monitoring of HANA 2.0 (SAP HANA DATABASE 2.00.xml)

Workcenter Solution Manager Administration -> Infrastructure -> Content -> Root Cause Analysis Content -> Stores.

Step 4 : Update Views as per SAP note : 2403493 - Solution Manager: Enabling the Monitoring of HANA 2.0 (config.xml)

Workcenter Solution Manager Administration -> Infrastructure -> Content -> Root Cause Analysis Content -> Views.

Step 5 : Upload the Extractors for HANA 2.0 (Templextr_HANA_20.csv)

Workcenter Solution Manager Administration -> Infrastructure -> Content -> Root Cause Analysis -> Extractors. Than go to Change Mode and press the 'Expert Mode'.

Step 6: Ensure that the MAI Content is up-to-date. It is available with:

Solution Manager 7.1: ST_CONT 100 SP 28

Solution Manager 7.2: ST_CONT 200 SP 9

Step 7 : Install Diagnostics Agent on SAP HANA Server

SAP notes to look after installation complete :

2216601 - Invalid Response Code (403) error occurs when checking SAP Host Agent in step "Assign Diagnostics Agent"

Step 8 : Install HANA client on SAP Solution Manager server (hdbsetup.exe)

Install providing installation path

 

Wait till installation finish



“E:\sap\hdbclient” Set path to the environment variable of Solution Manager <sid>adm user of ABAP



Restart SAP ABAP Stack

Step 9: Manage System Configuration



Set Diagnostics-relevance with Automatic settings



Execute automatic activities first



Create HANA Database user

We are creating MONITOR user in HANA as below



Note: We do now want to change this user password so make sure you run script below

ALTER USER MONITOR DISABLE PASSWORD LIFETIME;

 

 

Note: Check user is able to connect DB

CONNECT MONITOR PASSWORD <password>;



Assign DAA agent



Setup DB connection and other settings as below

 

Note: 2370773 - During the Managed System Configuration, the DBA cockpit connection of HANA ends with the error: Database connection ADBC error 'internal error 16 has occurred'

Provide system parameters



Execute Automatic activities and perform manual activities as below



Check configuration



Finish



 

Now Managed system is configured. Next step is to configure your HANA system for monitoring.
