It gives me great pleasure to announce the 2022 SAP Innovation Award winners. This year, SAP received nearly 200 submissions. Finalist judges reviewed each applicant pitch deck to select the 60 finalists . From there, 25 were chosen by our panel of winners judges.
A record FOUR Government customers won an award.
Kanton Zurich won the Adoption Superhero Award. Zurich had to handle an enormous number of short-time work compensation applications due to COVID-19. They automated short time working compensation in 2 weeks from first contact with SAP to go-live. They used Intelligent Robotic Process Automation to process more than 30,000 payment applications over a period of three months.
Hamburg won a Business Innovator Award. During the COVID-19 pandemic short-term financial aid became necessary for the cultural industry in Hamburg. To provide relief they were able to design a fully digitized end to end process from application to payment by automating different process-steps using SAP BTP AI Business Services.
Los Alamos also won a Business Innovator Award . Los Alamos National Laboratory is growing their contingent workforce by over 250% in the next few years, and their spend doubled in the last two years and continues to grow. To manage this significant change, the way they managed procurement needed to change as well. They are now using SAP Ariba t and SAP Fieldglass solutions to support procurement and external workforce management activities. Now, rich, intelligent functionality enables us to automate purchasing workflows, processing transactions in a fraction of the time it took previously and managing a drastically increased workload. Meanwhile, advanced reporting options enable Lo Alamos to monitor and control procurement operations more closely and help ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Fulton County Schools won a Transformation Champion Award. Fulton County Schools (FCS) is the fourth largest school system in Georgia with more than 17,600 full- and part-time employees, retirees and pensioners. FCS completed a system-wide business transformation, providing data at employee and manager's fingertips, and providing insights to real-time data which impact business outcomes. Fulton implemented SAP S/4HANA, SAP Payroll, SAP Ariba, SAP Concur, SAP SuccessFactors, OpenText, SAP Analytics Cloud, SAP Budgeting & Planning for Public Sector, Benefitfocus and SAP Enterprise Asset Management. In addition to the functional modules, FCS also enabled the SAP Business Technology Platform, SAP Fiori, and Public Sector Management for Master Data Integration
