SAP TechEd 2017 Las Vegas is around the corner and we at SAP are gearing up for yet another season of TechEd filled with the latest and greatest updates of our products and solutions. This year, we will have a content packed agenda with sessions classified into five content themes to help you Engage, Know, Run, Transform and Unlock Big Data in your Digital Transformation Journey with SAP including many hands-on sessions, CodeJam mini-editions, an opportunity to review and discuss real code with Code Review sessions, strategy talks, interactive design thinking workshops, roadmap, networking, Q&As, and deep-dive lectures.
I would like to specially draw your attention to the Integration and Internet of Things sub themes under the Content Theme of Transform which will help to build and manage intelligent applications using SAP Cloud Platform and the SAP Leonardo and to connect people, things, and businesses. There are sixty+ sessions planned under these two sub themes!
The Integration sub themes covers SAP’s Integration Platform as a Service offering on the SAP Cloud Platform including core integration services, API management, cloud connector, workflow and rules service. We have plenty of sessions covering the above tracks, where you will see how it all nicely fits together into our integration portfolio. You will also see how it can be leveraged to achieve complex integration needs like simplifying an onboarding process by using the prepackaged integration content of SAP Cloud Platform Integration for SuccessFactors solutions with SAP Cloud Platform Workflow.
You will learn how to improve business agility and prevent data silos in your hybrid IT landscapes by seamlessly and securely integrating and orchestrating your cloud and on-premise applications. You will also learn about the recently published CIO guide giving technological guidance for process and data-centric integration scenarios. We also have plenty of roadmap sessions on SAP Cloud Platform Integration, SAP Process Orchestration, SAP API management and more to share an insight into the topics in the pipeline.
In our core integration tracks, you will learn how SAP Cloud Platform Integration as the strategic cloud integration platform supports the integration of our cloud solutions such as SAP S/4HANA and SAP SuccessFactors with other SAP and non-SAP solutions deployed on premise or in the cloud. In addition it also enables fast and seamless B2B integration between you and your business partners through the cloud. You will also learn how SAP Process Orchestration is a complementary offering to SAP Cloud Platform Integration and how to deploy and run cloud integration content using SAP Process Orchestration, achieving the same benefits as with SAP Cloud Platform Integration, preserving your on premise investments.
Operations and Monitoring is crucial in integration, and so there are sessions to help you learn key capabilities and latest enhancements related to these such as the enhanced tracing capabilities in integration flows and monitoring using the OData APIs and through the SAP Solution Manager.
In the SAP API management tracks, you will learn find out how to leverage SAP API Management and SAP API Business Hub to create and manage your own business application in the cloud using existing API’s.
In the SAP Cloud Platform Workflow tracks, you will learn how to build and manage new workflow based applications ranging from simple approvals to end to end processes such as using the workflow service and SAP Cloud Platform Integration in tandem, you can build a cloud application integration scenario to optionally trigger an approval workflow under certain conditions defined as business rules.
In the Internet of Things sub theme, you will learn about the IoT capabilities of the SAP Cloud Platform and how it maps to the SAP Leonardo portfolio. You will learn about the edge, connectivity, and device management on the Cloud as well as the IoT application building leveraging the data ingested from various devices/assets to gain business insight through data science and machine learning.
In fact, everything you need to know about SAP Cloud Platform Internet of Things like the SAP Edge Services capabilities in detail, including predictive, machine learning, visual analytics and intelligence. Yes! You will learn how the SAP Edge Services enables data processing and decision making with its intelligence.
You will also how to connect people with things by leveraging business rules in IoT projects using the SAP Cloud Platform Business Rules.
You will also in our hands-on sessions get a first-hand experience of how the IoT enables the communication of machinery on the shop floor with world of IT, secure onboarding of devices and send secure messages, use various protocols and build applications showcasing end-to-end scenario from data ingestion to consumption like in the case of SAP vehicle Insights.
