Smart Predict, the Predictive Functionalities in SAP Analytic Cloud, are continuously improving with its algorithms under the hood. For example, we have reason codes for classification and regression models to show the end user why the algorithm came to this discussion. Just recently, we have gained the option to schedule our Predictive Planning models, which is my favorite of the new features. If you are like me and you always want to try the new features and improvements, then our SAP Analytics Cloud Hackathon might be the right event for you.
In this two-day event, you will work in a team consisting of three to five people and have the possibility to try Smart Predict in a Hands-On. Maybe a quick remark: It is no problem to join the Hackathon alone, we will find a fitting team for you. Together you will work on a given challenge. Spoiler alert: This year we have prepared one for you in the finance area. By solving this challenge, you can experience everything Smart Predict offers to enrich your SAC Stories or your Planning Models with predictions. Of course, you will learn all about the new features in our expert sessions and can directly try it on your own. Our experts will support you during the entire event, so you won’t get lost and can ask a lot of questions. If you have some suggestions and wishes for new features: we are always happy to collect them to improve our solutions. At the end of the two days full of hacking fun, each team will present their results and we will vote democratically the winners of the hackathon.
We have been organizing these events for more than 3 years and it is always fun to create a new challenge every year. I must admit, we as experts also gain a lot of insights from these events and we cannot wait for the next Hackathon to start. The Feedback from the past events is a great help to improve this event further. So, compared to the features in SAP Analytics Cloud, we want continuous improvement, too.
