Can data tell you how to win?
We are challenging the participants to use analytics designer, a unique feature of SAP Analytics Cloud, to create a customized dashboard that could present data trends for the winning strategies. Analytics Designer enables professional designers to use advanced scripting with a rich set of capabilities to create custom, complex applications. Scripting allows the application designer to define the relationship between different elements on the page, to guide users and adjust widget behavior based on users’ expectations. We want to see the most impactful solution that participants develop with SAP Intelligent Technologies.
Do you want to be a gameplay wizard?
Join to analyze, strategize, and consult on Team Liquid's past and future plays. This year SAP is collaborating with Team Liquid in search for a solution that will help their game run better using historic gameplay data. We are looking at breaking down the game mechanics of DOTA 2, a multiplayer online battle arena video game.
Each player in the game independently controls a powerful character, known as a "hero", who all have unique
abilities and differing styles of play. During a match, players collect
experience points and
items for their heroes to successfully defeat the opposing team's heroes in
player versus player combat. A team wins by being the first to destroy the other team's "Ancient", a large structure located within their base. Keeping this gameplay in mind, we challenge our participants to identify the best winning strategies.
What will the event be like?
The event will have presentations from the partner and student winners of the online Analytics Designer Hackathon to demonstrate how they created winning applications. Additionally, to support future coders, we are going to have the winner of the hackathon select a charity from our list to donate to.
