reprint / debug GW-based Adobe Forms

With the old print control, regardless of the technology used (Sapscript, Smartforms, Adobe), asking for a print preview would trigger the print program anyway, so that one could debug it or simply watch what happens.

In the case of the new output control, we may obtain the XFD data and use it in LiveCycle to adjust the layout via the preview function.

With the S4H appliance, asking for a preview will deliver the buffered PDF from the time it was first printed, unless (I suppose) one deletes the previous output and manually adds another output request. Is this the way an end-user should do it?

As a deveveloper, how do I run the print process again as quickly and smoothly as possible? Apparently, the print program for a completed output by design won't restart 😞

EDIT: incidentally, deleting is disabled in S4H so I am not able to verify!

Answering my own question with the help of my colleague frank.engert4 :

reports APOC_SUPPORT and APOC_RENDER_DOCUMENT may be used for the purpose of triggering print procedures using new output control.
