I am trying to modify customer exit EXIT_SAPLF048_001. I have an active project and active component with the following code in the Z include:

I_RELATION-BLGCHR = F180A_BLGCHR_EXIT2.
MODIFY RELATION_TAB FROM I_RELA...
Small update: I noticed that RELATION_TAB was not being updated by the code specified above.
I modified the code as follows however I see that the main program then deletes the value in BLGCHR after it is populated through the customer exit.
