Greetings all,
This has me puzzled. I am working in BO 4.2 and using an IDT multisource universe so Data Federator is involved.
Starting with the simple query where all objects are dimensions:
select A.DATE, A.KEY, B.STRING, B.KEY
from A inner...
This works even though it is a little round about. Replace your Date column with the formula (or a measure variable) that uses the max function.vMaxDate =Max([Date])Replace the Contract column with the formula (or a measure variable):vContract =If C...
Thanks for the suggestion. I tried changing the DATE object to a measure with aggregation set to MAX and also Delegated since I already have the max function in the object. Both of these options still add a max function to the key.My theory, is tha...
Since this query only uses one of the data sources, I tried the same on a single source IDT universe and I get the same results. It adds a max function to the B.KEY.select A.DATE, A.KEY, B.STRING, B.KEY
from A inner join B on A.KEY = B.KEYBecomessel...
amit-kmrk you are correct. I am removing the A.DATE object from my original query and replacing it with an object that has max(A.DATE). Also, slight correction. It is NOT adding a max to the A.KEY, only the B.KEY.select max(A.DATE), A.KEY, B.STR...
I complete agree with leaving them unassociated and suggest you add a suffix such as LIT (for literal) to these objects. Just remember going forward that LIT objects will produce this integrity error message that you can ignore. We use LIT because ...
