What you’ll do on the team
The SAP Finance Practice Manager reports directly to the Avvale ERP Practice Director and will be a key player in the Avvale AP Finance and Controlling (FICO) consulting team. You will be responsible for managing P&L and financial targets, formulating the strategy and proper offering for your organization, and ensuring high-quality project execution and a strong contribution to the presales process. Building upon an existing culture of inclusion, integrity, and respect, the SAP Finance Practice Manager supports the growth of the team’s competency, skills, and attitude.
Leadership
Lead change and challenge existing processes to add value and and enhance efficiency
Operate strategically, meet and exceed objectives, and grow our organization
Manage, lead, and mentor a team of SAP FICO specialists and grow future skills based on market demand. This includes ownership of the employee lifecycle from interviewing and hiring, developing professional/technical skills, and managing performance
Provide technical and strategic leadership to team members
Have an attitude driven by proactivity and problem-solving while modeling the right behaviors for our organization
Articulate effectively the ‘why’ behind every major Avvale project and process to enhance engagement and alignment among your team.
Practice Area Responsibilities
P&L budgeting responsibility, ensuring that the practice holds the right balance of people, skills and availability to meet current and future demand pipeline and our financial targets
Collaborate with other SAP, Technology, and Consulting practice leaders as part of our broader Consulting leadership team
Connect and collaborate with peers from other Avvale’s branches to build synergies, leverage experiences and build standard methodologies and tools
Act as a thought leader for the practice area (ex. Writing blog posts, speaking at events, giving demos, etc.)
Develop tools and methodologies to address Avvale’s Delivery approach and expand the offering portfolio
Create and communicate a vision for the practice to our team members as well as our leadership team
Create goals and success metrics and communicate progress against them
Understand the SAP product offering in your area of responsibilities and the SAP products license structure
Prepare DEMO scripts and coach your team to demonstrate SAP solutions in your area of responsibility to support pre-sale activities and all phases of a project
Oversee the quality of the documentation provided by your team
Customer Focus
Act as an advocate for Avvale’s clients during the delivery process of a project
Provide pre-sales solution engineering and estimation support
Play an active role in relationship management with clients by supporting procurement/RFP/RFQ/RFI proposals, demonstrations, and presentations
Project Delivery
Oversee all the project execution in your area of responsibility, supporting each project delivery cycle and coaching your team in prioritizing activities, managing issues, supervising solutions, and facing challenging client situations.
Provide major contributions to the preparation of SOWs and when required able to draft SOW on your own.
Responsible for enhancing the project delivery methodology, improving Avvale standards for quality, and adapting/creating processes, templates, and tools needed to support projects and any other internal or external activity.
Ensure all team members are competent and capable of delivering Avvale solutions and services
Maintain project delivery standards as set forth by the Practice Director
Ensure proper documentation in alignment with the Avvale quality standards
Act as a point of escalation for technical questions and assist the team in solving them.
Capable of creating holistic end-to-end solution architecture, thoughtful project planning, defining the data migration approach, testing, and cut-over strategy, and providing coaching and guidelines to create templates that support the delivery.
What you bring to the team:
A minimum of 10 years of hands-on SAP Implementations (S4 is ideal), professional services experience in management consulting.
Excellent understanding of SAP Finance and Controlling (FICO), Financial and Treasury processes (AP, AR, GL, fixed Asset, Treasury, Consolidation, Revenue Recognition, etc..), Product Costing, Profitability, and Financial Reporting.
Good understanding of other enterprise processes such as sales, purchasing, and manufacturing.
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capability.
Excellent communication skills.
Leadership and teaming skills
Willingness to travel to meet client needs - travel is generally around 50%

Base salary range: 165 - 190k
- Discretionary Annual Bonus Potential: up to 25% of base salary based on company and individual key performance indicators.
