Set purchase requisition line item field as mandatory for specific item category

Hi all.

I know at SPRO path where I can make purchase requisition line items fields mandadory, but I would like to make a purchase requisition mandatory just for a specific item category, currently when I set a purchase requisition line item field mandatory it works for all purchase requistion line items categories, I need do that just for a specific line item category, how can I do that?

Hello mrrjesus,

It's not feasible. Think when you run transaction ME51N then how system presume that for which item category you are going to create PR.

As an solution/workaround for the different PR doc type you can maintain if it's works for you means create a Z PR doc type and assign relative item category on this Z doc type.
