Configuration transfer methods/tools

Hi all,

I am looking to gather insights oncent configuration transport tools/methods including:

1.  SuccessFactors Configuration Transport Centre (SCTC)

2. Instance sync tools

3. Export and import tools (XML/MDF...)

4. Manual configuration of changes in each instance

Please let me know if you have used any and what your personal views are; any pain points, which you prefer to use, recommendations etc.
