COVID-19 had a tremendous impact on all of us this year. While Germany has been able to deal with with the pandemic fairly well, conditions for all of us are still far from normal.
This also affects SAP Inside Track Berlin, which is why we are officially cancelling our 2020 edition.
The core experience of sitBER is a physical one, where we all come together in the SAP DATA SPACE and share a full day of knowledge, inclusion and networking. Trying to bring it into a virtual format doesn't make sense for me. Instead we are going to focus on 2021, to bring the event back in its regular format.
I still can't resist and see positive aspects in all of this. While most physical SIT events have been cancelled, new online only formats have come to light. SAP Online Track happened end of May as a massive online event, and has a large amount of sessions online. SAP Inside Track Barcelona will be held online this year, and is planned for October 2nd. These online SIT events have no participant limits and can bee seen by the whole SAP Community worldwide. Maybe all of this will lead to a transformation of SIT events in general, which wouldn't have happened without this pandemic.
