Fosway Group, an HR industry analyst firm primarily focused on the UK and European market, just published its Fosway 9-Grid™ for Learning Systems for 2024 in which SAP SuccessFactors is again named a Strategic Challenger. According to Fosway, Strategic Challengers provide solid performance with solutions that have a richer and broader suite of capability than most other solutions in the Fosway 9-Grid™. The potential axis highlights Fosway’s view on the vendor’s future trajectory within the Fosway 9-Grid™ analysis, so it is based on the vendor’s progress relative to their own position and relative to the market as a whole, rather than the other solutions in the zone.

The 9-Grid™ is a five-dimensional market analysis based on:

  • Potential - the solution’s scope and sophistication
  • Performance – the solution’s market performance, and customer success and advocacy
  • Presence - the solution’s presence in the enterprise market, including size of the customer base
  • Total Cost of Ownership - the full cost of acquiring, implementing, and operating the solution, including both internal and external costs
  • Future Trajectory - a vendor’s likely future direction of travel within the model based on current market trends
