The Payroll Control Center automates payroll procedures. In traditional payroll operations, strict deadlines dictate when employee payments and tax declarations must be submitted. These deadlines define the payroll processing timeframe in a backward manner. Often, multiple iterations, typically conducted as overnight batch jobs, are required to ensure accuracy. The Payroll Control Center allows for real-time data quality verification whenever employee data is modified, whether by HR personnel updating master data or through other programs. It identifies changes and validates them against relevant policies for the specific employees involved.
Most of the standard documentation indicates how this product can be deployed on embedded landscapes - this blog post intends to provide the complete setup for landscapes where the Fiori apps need to be deployed on a separate gateway system.
This blog provides further details on how to proceed with Option 1 as mentioned in SAP Note - 3100307. As per this note the option 1 is not to deploy full SAP_HR and EA-HR software component but just transport the relevant UI artifacts from backend to frontend gateway hub. Let's take a look at the specific technical implementation steps we have so far for PCC.

Payroll Control Center UI applications are delivered with SAP ERP HCM for SAP S/4HANA. If you install SAP Fiori with the hub deployment option, the Payroll Control Center UI applications, included in package PAOC_PAY_PYD_UI, might not exist in the system. In this case, you need to manually deploy and maintain the UI services for Payroll Control Center.
You may notice that after transporting all the contents of package PAOC_PAY_PYD_UI - some of the fiori apps are still not working since the SICF node for SAPUI5 apps are not found. Below is the recommended TRDIR objects that can be individually put into the transport requests as remediation:
